Week 7: Writing Public History and First Drafts SH Stories

Important Announcements:

1. I have arranged a class tour of the EWU Archives in JFK Library. Unfortunately, the only time that University Archivist Dr. Charlie Mutschler had available is this coming Thursday, March 2nd, at 2 p.m.  This is a really important visit if you are to use the important resources held by the archives for your projects. Please let me know if you cannot attend. For everyone who does attend, I have a prize:

Week Six: The Glorious History of Cheney, Washington, Flower of the Inland Empire

This week we will do some background reading about Cheney, Washington and begin to choose our stories.

Questions to consider: What are the major events, most significant buildings and historic sites, or significant individuals in the history of Cheney and EWU? What research resources are available for local history? What stories would you like to tell for Spokane Historical?
